In this article, we will have a discussion over the Difference between Ubuntu Fedora and RedHat.
Ubuntu is a Linux based operating system. It was created for computers, smartphones, and network servers. A UK-based organization called Canonical Ltd has developed the system. The principles applied to create the Ubuntu system are based on Open Source software development principles.
Fedora is a Linux distribution. It is created by the community-supported Fedora Project and sponsored by Red Hat. Fedora comprises software distributed under several free and open-source licenses. This targets to be on the leading edge of such technologies and it is the upstream source of the economic Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution.
Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source solutions, including high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies. RedHat Enterprise Linux, or RHEL, is a Linux-based operating system that is designed for businesses and it is the successor of Fedora core. It is also an open-source distribution like fedora and other Linux operating systems.

Ubuntu is a Linux-based operating system. Linux is distributed in some families, and Ubuntu belongs to the Debian family of Linux. It is free of cost and an open-source platform, and readily available for use because it is Linux-based. A team named “Canonical,” lead by Mark Shuttleworth, has developed the Ubuntu system. The word Ubuntu is derived from an African word that means “Humanity to others.” So for running the world’s fastest supercomputer, the Chinese version of Ubuntu is used. And for Google’s self-driving car, the stripped version of Ubuntu is used.
Fedora is a Linux-based operating system. It is free of cost, an open-source platform, and readily available for use because it is Linux-based. Red Hat has developed this system. Fedora uses the DNF package manager and gnome environment along with the anaconda installer. It supports three platforms, for personal computers workstation Fedora, for servers Fedora Server, and Fedora Atomic for cloud computing.
RedHat Enterprise Linux, or RHEL, is a Linux-based operating system that is designed for businesses. It is the successor of Fedora core but also an open-source distribution like fedora and other Linux operating systems. It is more stable than Fedora but less cutting-edge as compared to Fedora. Red Hat is generally sold through annual and monthly subscriptions, including the technical support and Red Hat network. It was introduced in 1994, and it is mainly developed for corporate purposes and more stable among all the other Linux-based operating systems.

In this article, we had a discussion over the difference between Ubuntu Fedora and RedHat. All the systems Ubuntu, Fedora, and RedHat are Linux-based operating systems. They are free of cost, open-source platforms, and readily available to use, and they all belongs to Linux Foundation. Except for these similarities, they all have many differences as well that we discussed above in this article. Whereas RedHat & Fedora belongs to same family RHEL.
